Customers’ review

Having reliable internet access is essential to working from home. Having to plug in the DSL often when the cable went out got old, even though I didn’t have to do it all that often. The time had come for me to invest in a dual WAN router. There weren’t too many choices in my price range, and most didn’t sound very interesting. The only reason I chose this one was that everything else looked like undisputed junk. However, I am very happy I chose it. -Williams from Cape town

This is my second Balance 20, as my first one croaked after several years. There is no better way to add the internet to your home or small business network than with this unit. The hardware is impressive. It’s got all the bells and whistles (it’s made of metal.) Plus, Peplink’s InControl2 remote management feature lets you manage their products from anywhere. The network speed is good. Data moves much faster through this router than if I had connected my 4G LTE USB modem directly to my desktop. –James from Califonia

Final thoughts

The Peplink Balance 20 router is great for small businesses or home companies that need to either increase their bandwidth via two separate ISP connections or have a load-balancing solution to decrease or prevent downtime. A USB port is included so that a USB cellular AirCard can be plugged in for a third WAN connection for even greater bandwidth.

As of now, I have not tried two simultaneous Internet connections with this device, but I am going to see if a cable connection and a DSL connection will provide enough bandwidth. It has a GUI web browser interface that makes it easy to manage or use, similar to a wireless router you might have at home. The case is made of all metal, so it is fairly robust and well-built.
